Aim for Every Day! Your pup needs at least 30 minutes of daily exercise.
Here are some tips to keep him or her healthy...
Keep up the pace. Most people walk their dogs too leisurely for 20-25 minutes a mile.
Your Dog Walker helps to keep him/her engaged to keep them moving.
The benefits are mental as well as physical. Exercise prevents and resolves 95% of behavioral issues.
Young dogs benefit from 1 to 2 long walks a day at least an hour minimum each walk, and just playing in the yard doesn't count. Walking gives them the intellectual stimulation and changing up the route or time of day helps to prevent boredom.

Hey There Pack Members.....
It is so hard to believe that summer is almost over and the school year is about to begin!
Its been crazy busy, humid and wet!
HHW never got the opportunity to participate in any fairs and events and unfortunately WOOFSTOCK was rained out! But we are still happy to be of service no matter the weather for your Dogs, Kittens and Pets!
We hope that with the cooler weather headed our way the days will be sunnier and dryer and not so sticky!
HHW is working on a NEW PROJECT that will enhance some of the services we can offer many of our clients!
So keep an eye out for the announcement coming soon.....BIG NEWS!
We want to announce a new addition to our PACK! Please welcome DENISE! She will be assisting with DOG WALKS AND PET SITTING in Branford, North Branford and parts of Guilford and possibly East Haven.
#1 GOT A NEW PUPPY! Hire HHW to train your puppy.... we will be offering a new Puppy Training/Walking package starting in October!
#2 The easiest task to train your puppy apart from SIT is TOUCH! Which is great to have in place before you start formal training....... it makes it so much easier and teaches focus! A very important skill for puppy to have in the beginning.
#3 KEEP IT POSITIVE! Positive training is what irt is all about...... P
Our dogs are only with us for a very short time, lets make it stress free and full of love always.
As you may have heard, Canine Influenza is becoming epidemic. There is a vaccine and we at HHW highly recommend talking to your vet about your dog getting innocculated. You cant really tell if another dog is carrying the flu and it is easily transmitted. Be sure to wash your hands and try not to expose your pup to other pups unless he/she has been vaccinated.
Thanksgiving and Christmas are just around the corner...... HHW still has plenty of open time slots for visits during your busy busy holiday season. But we book up pretty fast after Labor Day. So Text us your requests as soon as possible so you don't get left out in the COLD!
Cats with 6 toes on any or all paws are called Hemingway Cats!
